*sigh* Okay, I'll help you out.

I graduated college when I was in elementary school; but that's because I'm white.

Ooh, I knew it! I'm telling!!! :ranting:

"At 2 years old, she was already reading, and I was totally shocked," she said.

Same with ours. He is four years old and currently studying the periodic table of the elements. Uses a lot of adult computer programs like word, excel, paint and email. He will be eligible for kindergarten in our district in two academic years. lol.

People at visajourney had almost nothing positive to say about early infant learning when I have tried to share our experience. In fact we had people call Child Protective Services for "teaching walking too early", and they raided our home. Separated us, interrogated us, and refused to look at the published peer reviewed literature we were following on early infant development. We actually fled the country after they told us that our child was so far ahead of his peers that we would be required to have him evaluated for developmental delay.

That's a shame.

BTW, nice to see you back.

Oh thanks.

The one thing I am ecstatic about is that in our state we don't have to register our kids anywhere as homeschoolers. There is no mandatory curriculum or testing. No teacher qualifications. We can do whatever the hell we want. That means chemistry and physics, not "see spot run".

I'd recommend some quadratic equations early in the morning to get the blood flowing.

Children soak up so much information at a young age. It is better to teach early than when you are older and your brain is more stubborn. I don't want to see children overwhelmed, but with the right amount, you can educate your child thoroughly at a young age and well.

People are just ignorant and prejudice against what they do not understand. It is sad. But kudos to you for standing up to them. You should be able to educate your child the way you want to.

Sorry, out of +1.

You're loose like Val. Stop giving it up so easily!

Sorry I wasn't trying to be quaint. I was writing on my phone right before bed. I remember you used to dominate the Effects forum. I hated trying to give advice after you.

Glad to see you're pushing your children to reach their potential.

You see what happened there? You gave him compliment, "nice to see you back" and he brushed it aside, "oh thanks". And so you had to come back and say more good things about him. Just by discounting what you said, he forced you to pay more attention to him.

Classic manipulative behavior. It's manipulation 101

Penny got a month long suspension for saying someone was using a sock puppet account. Yes, seriously.

She will likely not be returning.

Are you serious? That's foul. I'm going to send her a note. Thanks for letting me know.

Pretty sure you can't check messages while banned.

Ouch, that's so messed up. She is one of the best posters here.
