Pregnancy is not a special circumstance and your petition will not go any faster than anyone else's as a result of that.

Assuming that he is the US Citizen, he will need to show US income or have a co-sponsor.

***** Moving from CR-1 progress report to CR-1 Process ****

Sounds like you are the US citizen?

He won't get his visa before the birth if you haven't filed yet. You have three options:

- You go back to the US and have the baby there, alone

- You stay in Albania and have the baby there (baby will still be a US citizen)

- You go back to the US, try for a tourist visa for him to attend the birth, but he'l have to go back to Albania for the spousal visa medical and interview. He is also quite unlikely to get the tourist visa, being married to a US citizen who is giving birth to his child.

As to income, yes the easiest is if you have a US based income. However, if you choose to stay with your husband in Albania till he has his CR-1 visa, you have two other options:

- Get a US based co-sponsor; a friend or family member who will stand guarantoor form him.

- Sponsor on assets; you will need x3 the income requirement is easily liquidated assets (savings, property etc).

Yes the Cr1 is the best option for you. I suggest you look into option for the birth of your child as the Cr1 visa will not be issued in time

good luck
