May 2014 AOS Filers

VJers,

My wife and I sent the AOS application for her at the beginning of May. We got a notice on May 5. Her biometrics were on June 10. I'm wondering if anyone has received a notice of approval.

That is unusual. Have you tried calling them asking if they have got your RFE reply or not?

Nope. I don't think I want to bother calling since it's only been a week. I will call if it gets to like 30 days without any movement.

I checked processing times for Salt Lake City for AOS. Last time they completed a case ? Nov 1st. 2013 >.<

And then I thought, okay, maybe because SLC is slow, I may get transferred to CSC? Well ... people who get transferred to CSC apparently have to wait like 9 months? Seems whatever happens, we are in for a long wait :c

I'm not sure. I am thinking after biometrics. I think it may stay at Nebraska until they are ready for you to be interviewed, and then they send it to the local office who put you in a queue for an interview. And some offices are busier than others and that explains why some cases are processed faster than others. But I'm just taking a guess with this. Unfortunately I'm not certain ^^;

Did a little researching about the Salt Lake office

After 2007, there are only 5 people who had an interview, out of those with SLC as their local office

The rest of them seemed to be transferred to (most likely CSC) with the exception of one time line I saw that stated their AOS process stayed at MSC the entire time. Odd.

34 of the 132 files found for SLC say they were transferred (but there were also people who did not have an interview date, but did get a decision. So I assume they were transferred to and didn't fill out that section )

So I'd advise you guys to check out the stats on your local offices!

-Go to the timeline section here on VJ

-Click on where it says post visa timelines

-Select AOS

-Filter 'visa adjusting from' to your visa type (K1 for me)

-Pick your local office

-First do a search with 'Show only transferred cases' set to no, check how many there is

-Change it to 'yes' and compare the difference

If most of the recent cases (mess with the arrows under the 'date filed' so it shows the most recent) show they were transferred, you may be too! I guess XD

I'd say search the one that they asked you to come to for biometrics ^^

Well, there is a chance that they have been processing cases? I mean, there are obviously more "popular" locations than others and there is the possibility people has had cases there who don't belong to VJ. I don't know. xD Des Moines hasn't had that many cases either... X_x The waiting is annoying, but I do think we should all get out Interview dates in the next 2-3 weeks ish. And I don't think there would be any case status updates between receiving an interview date, and the actual interview. So xD we just need to wait... In average people get their interview date around 3 months after their NOAs.

August should be out interview month! Wii! xD

Hi everyone. Im checking my status online every day too! This is so frustrating... We are planning on having our bigger wedding celebration in finland in two months.. hopefully i will get my AP soon.

My status never changed either when we got RFE! I was surprised when our lawyer contacted us and told us about it. But luckily she was able to response to the RFE fast.

We also moved two weeks ago, to Minnesota. And so we changed our address to USCIS, and then after that my AOS status went to Initial review, i dont know if that means anything. It just says your address was changed and something. But its still on initial review yay!

I have been reading about our local office in St Paul, looks like their aos processing is really slow does anyone else have the same office?
