what's happening to NVC?

I've called more than 50 times to NVC between yesterday and today and it's always busy!!

Must be do to it's the end of the month so everyone is calling to see about their appointments

I always had the best luck calling at 9pm. Maybe only had to redial 2 or 3 times. One time I called at 9:45pm and only was on hold for 5 minutes. Good luck!

my fiance had the same problem too, he had been calling nonstop since last week and the lines were always busy, he called today at 10 am and fortunately he waited on hold for about 45 minutes until he could talk to a representative, i say fortunately bc being on hold for 45 minutes is way better than a busy line , he asked all kinds of questions but he forgot to ask about the case number!!!! , so he called again at 3 something pm, waited on hold and then they gave him the case #, just keep calling and don't give up

Thank you everyone!! I tried again about an hour ago and finally my call got through (30 minutes on hold :/). The gentleman told me to call back 30 business days after the day of the arrival of my papers in order to get my case #... yeah right!! I'm calling back on monday. I am so tired of waiting, Can't wait to finally have my husband by my side.

I'm sure this is going to sound rude, but perhaps this is one of the reasons why the lines are frequently busy and people wait on hold for a long time. Having been told to call after the 30 business days on Friday, calling back on Monday (assuming it's not the 30th day), is almost certainly not going to get you a different answer -- there's not enough time for things to change over a weekend. I fully understand being tired of waiting, but calling back when there's little to no chance of getting a different answer will not move the case along faster.

No worries, they will have your number before you know it. It was almost exactly a month after receiving my NVC notice when NVC game me a case number. I called a day after receiving my NVC letter and they told me the same thing they told you. I then waited about three weeks later and they had just created my case number a day or two before I had called Hope this helps.

Nothing wrong with staying on the top of things. Its your choice to either call or not.
