Am in GA and also awaiting my AOS approval. My State ID and Driviver's licence expired once my I-94 expired. For now, there isn't anything to do until at least the EAD is in hand.

You will be able to get a Georgia State Identification card or a GA Driver's License with the EAD even if the AOS hasn't been approved yet. Georgia requires a proof of legal residency that has a date on it showing when that legal residency expires. That is why you were able to get an identification card valid for the 90 days until the I-94 expired - it had a date. The biometrics letter, unfortunately, has no date on it showing that you have legal status as an AOS petitioner so you need to have the EAD or the approved AOS. You will get an identification card or DL that will be valid for the same length of time as the EAD or AOS - or 3 years, whichever is shorter.

If your AOS hasn't been approved before the EAD expires, make sure you apply for a new EAD so you can get a new State Identification card or DL.
