So sorry to post this; I tried searching around but all the posts I found were a bit outdated.

We just got a text from USCIS which said our petition was approved!! NOA2!!! SO EXCITED!!! But honestly, I have been so nervous about getting to this point, I've hardly researched what comes next. I know generally what we must do, but I am a bit confused about how NVC works.

Since we just received our NOA2, that means the CSC is sending it to the NVC? And from there, they'll send it onto our Embassy in Phnom Penh?

According to the Phnom Penh Embassy, Packet 3 is available online, and I've been looking if over for several weeks, but I'm not sure when it is okay to start filling it out. Is it after the Embassy receives my petition?

Okay: so here is my basic question. How long does it take NVC to receive a petition from CSC? (I've read it takes 30 days once it's there to move onto the Embassy, yes?)

Second question: can we check the status of our petition online still through the USCIS dashboard/case status site? Or do we need to call NVC now?

Thanks everyone!! So excited to be at this next step. Prayers for all those still waiting.

All that we are and all that will be we dedicate to the One who brought us together

Yes it can take 30 or less days. You can check with NVC by calling to see if they recived it. Then you wait for your case number. They like to say 30 days for that but it seems to be less.

Congratulation!!

You usually wait for 3 weeks and then call NVC to get your case number.

Go to US embassy website Phnom Penh and download packet 3 instructions.

You will send back, per instructions,

DS160 confirmation page,

I134 and its supporting documents(tax 2013, w2, employer letters etc..),

The instruction itself contains checklist that you have to check off whatever applied to you. Sign it , write your name and case number on it as well.\

You send the above items back to Phnom Penh Embassy. I used EMS service in Phnom Penh to mail it.

Note: before mailing, make sure the embassy has received your case from NVC. Email the embassy and they will reply.

After that wait 2 weeks and start checking the weekly scheduled appointment for your own appointment .

Check your visa progress here after you have obtained PHP number.
