Hello all,

I have a question about the packet presentation. We bought a binder with many plastic sleeve-lets for each document, which looks really nice, but I am beginning to think it is unnecessary and too much. Should I send it like that or just stack the documents in order in a single business envelope? I am sending via FedEx from Colombia. Advice on presentation would be much appreciated.

I have heard other people say to NOT put them in the nice binders. They want to file them with everything else and you will be creating a headache for them to remove all your sheets

Don't bother with a binder. They will take it out and throw it away. Just stack in order, using paperclips or binder clips to keep pages together.

Not true.

They want everything to be easily accessible, labeled, and neat which the binder would provide. Obviously, you can organize packets in other ways to achieve this.

OP- that's how I organized my package. Each document was contained in its own plastic sleeve and labeled with a post-it. My cover page detailed each document. I also wrote our case number on the top right of every page I submitted, just in case something was misplaced it could then be easily put back together. Documents with multiple pages were labeled with page numbers. It's entirely possible that I'm over-obsessive about organization, but when my husband went to his interview, the woman complimented him on the impressiveness of the package.

In the end, it is up to you and how you feel about it. Do what feels right.

I looked at my case file when I was in Montreal.

It was in one of these...

Putting it into a binder initially, just makes more work IMHO.
