I am a green card holder for almost fifth year now this coming May and i wanna ask if getting a u.s citizenship will help me to bring my boyfriend from Philippines faster by using fiance visa or get married and get him through spouse visa...help.. thanks.

Normally, a K1 fiance is quite a bit faster than a CR-1 spousal visa. However, as you'd need to get citizenship first, and that costs money and several months of time, I would think in your case getting married and filing would be faster.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I suggest go back home married your boyfriend come back in US then start file petition your husband which is I-130 f2a a spouse of a green card holder atleast 3-4 years he will be come over to join you very soon

If you would go for taking a citizenship now takes at least 8-10 months and 15 months to take at least the process petitioning spouse of US citizen
