Hi All,

Almost there :) I have my interview on the 15th April (next week Tuesday). I have searched high and low and think i have everything I can ready.

I received my EAD on Monday 7th and haven't had time to go and get a SSN but will go after the interview next week.

I was just wondering

a) if anyone can link me into a recent "checklist" of sorts here on visajourney

b) any advice on how to handle the questions etc

This is what i have so far

EAD

Marriage Cert

Birth Cert

Passport

Photos

Copy of the file i submitted

Wifes tax submission - with my name on it

copy of lease - my name on it

joint bank account - both names on it

receipts for submission

interview letter

my wife :)

I am in LA so will be going to the USCIS here. I entered on a K1 in December and got my EAD 7th April.

Thanks in advance to all and especially members of visajourney.com - you guys have literally got me this far.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,

Amit

Hi, first of all Congratulations! The little advice I can give you is to bring photographs and make sure you have your wife's ORIGINAL birth certificate as well as yours. Just in case bring your file, folder or binder where you keep every single document you have sent to and received from uscis (it's always recommended to be prepared). Our interview was very quick (20 mins) and the only wanted to see the original birth certificates. The questions were very easy: In-laws names, where did my wife studied, spell her middle name (she has a uncommon name), they asked her my parents' names. Always keep calm and go knowing that this is just a standard process that you have to go through.
