this is the latest of my husband email .

I am on hold with USCIS. I told them that we were auto-expedited & asked why it is taking so long. I told them the NVC doesn't have our paperwork. They told me it could take up to 90 days. I asked her what is the whole point of getting the case expedited if it is going to take 90 days.

She checked the computer & saw that our case was expedited. Then she said it shouldn't take this long for the NVC to receive our paperwork, because we were expedited. She put me told me she is transferring me to a supervisor & put me on hold.

( And this the 2nd emailed me when my Husband talked the USCIS. )
The paperwork is at USCIS. The supervisory sent a message to the office that approved our paperwork & asked why it has not been forwarded to NVC & asked them to forward it to NVC A.S.A.P.

He told me that the office will contact me when they send the papers to the NVC. He said no later than June 19.

Guys after receiving the the NOA2 stating that our case will be forwardwd to NVC, WHATs the next step? Are we suppose to wait for some papers to complete again? How long does it usually take.

That's pretty fast for NOA2! I guess what you do now is wait for a notice, read the guide, it tells you how to accelerate the process by filling stuff in advance.

Hey guys,

Little update for you..We received NOA2 on April 21st. On June 4th we received an email from National Visa Center that we are now eligible for further processing. We just completed from DS-261 online and will pay AOS fee once it is invoiced.

For the ones that are in NVC stage, I found this link to be extremely helpful:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Just to let you know...couple weeks ago I took the plane from Amsterdam to San Francisco to stay for two months with my husband. I was a little nervous, after seeing posts on visa journey which say that it's not the best idea to travel while having a visa pending. At customs in SF, the officer was really nice, just had to answer a couple of questions ("how long are you staying, does your husband work here" etc), he did ask if Im planning to move to US in the future and I said that I have a pending visa. All good "welcome to US" and now I'm here on a tourist visa! I thought this info might help for the ones that are planning to visit while waiting for their visa.

Have a great weekend everyone xx Angela

On the USCIS website where you can check the status of your file it says that the national goal is 5 months to complete de proces... are they talking about the uscis proces only or the whole thing including NVC? On my timeline VisaJourney tells me I should be done around septembre... for all the visa???

Have a good time with your husband Angela!!!!! Gratz on the NVC news :D
