Yes. You'll need to get the baby a US passport based on being the child of a USC but it doesn't take too long.

AOS for my husband

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package

What if your pregnant and you have baby before you get your visa in your hand what happen next ? Can the baby still travel. With u

Have the USC do a Report of Birth Abroad. You get the form online from Dept of State. It only took me about a month for my son to have his US birth certificate and US Passport, so don't worry if you have the baby in Jamaica. All da best.

A few months ago I got my daughters CRBA at the embassy in Trinidad. It took 8 days from the time we applied to when were informed the passport was ready for pickup at the embassy. In our case our daughter was born before my wife got the visa. The key thing was that both parents had to be present to submit the application. When you apply for the CRBA you can submit the passport application at the same time.Process was very fast .It took about 15-20 mins.Granted the consular officer told me that all my documents (I'm the USC) were in order and that I was well prepared.

Oct 1st 2012 - Mailed I-130 package to Phoenix
Oct 3rd 2012 - Package delivered
Oct 9th 2012 - NOA 1
Dec 12th 2012 -Case finally visible on USCIS website as initial review
Jan 31st 2013 -Emailed ncsc-customerconnect@uscis.dhs.gov
Feb 6th 2013 - Response that my case was tranferred to the local Jacksonville field office on Nov 19th 2012
Apr 2nd 2013 - Infopass. Found out that there was an RFE dated Dec 19th that I never received.USCIS website never reflected that either.Got a copy of the RFE .Time to make another infopass to drop documents off at local Jacksonville office.

Apr 29th 2013- Dropped off RFE documents at local office

May 7th 2013- Got text that petition was approved.
