Free speech includes the freedom to disrespect the national symbol. The Supreme Court has ruled on that. Get over it already.

And you.... quite hiding behind the Supreme Court..... they also allowed the North to have it's way by not counting Blacks as full persons.

It's funny, if Janelle or myself said the same thing, we're obsessed about race. You clearly are, yet this flies by.

The Supreme Court is not so much hiding behind the US Constitution as it is crafting it.

No one, right or left believes otherwise, they just object in different ways.

That is a landmark case (oft misunderstood) which relates to the topic.

You are interjecting yourself in the storyline when the storyline is simply about "evolving Judicial interpretations."

That Blacks had some connection is not of any consequence to the point.

No, I'm just pointing out that black people have NOTHING to do with the topic. This is about a flag. Stick with that, instead of trying to throw shots at black people. You turn 99% of your posts into something about gays or blacks.

Why is this relevant in the conversation?

The non-sequitur you quoted is not relevant at all. I would not call it a conversation for it appears the other poster is talking to him/herself.

it had no element which slammed Blacks but rather the agnels in the north who insisted Blacks not be counted as full persons.

The larger point was the Supreme Court reversed its self on the issue.

If you ditch your paranoia for just a minute you might stay up to speed.

This coming from a man who is scared to death of gay marriage and white displacement. Maybe if you didn't bring up black people in 99% of your posts, you wouldn't be accused.

Look I happen to agree with Michelle (fist bump) Obama.... we don't have enough Black history and Black awareness.

So I join her in that sentiment.

Why would you want me or anyone else to squelch the Conversation when it pertains to Black Americans?

Danno, show me one thread that you've posted that talk about black people in a positive light. You're only interested in the worst of our history.

Now thats just not true.

I have stated a number of time I thought Michelle "Fist bump" Obama has been a great first lady, in fact the President and the whole first family

have represented the country very well.

You never hear me with petty critiques of her trips and the cost and all that..... heII she is the first lady, do people want her to travel in coach?

I have posted a number of well written articles by black writers I admire.

Half the time I am zinging those who have harmed Blacks, not Blacks themselves.

-Fact: People love stories with race as the center, I learned that years ago when I posted a wider variety of topics.

SInce everyone else changes their name, perhaps I should change my VJ name to {EQUAL-TIME}.
