Hello!

I just wanna seek clarification regarding the nbi clearance.

As you know there are two copies of the nbi clearance, one copy is with a stamp "personal copy" and the other one is without. Is it good to go to submit/bring the beneficiary's "personal copy" of the nbi clearance to the interview at the Manila embassy? Since the other copy was submitted to the NVC. Or should the beneficiary need to secure another nbi clearance to submit to the interview, the one that has no stamp "personal copy"?

Thank you.

Here is the link to the embassy instructions letter for the immigrant visa, an NBI is listed there - I think you will need another NBI.

Thank you.

You can submit the one with the stamp "personal copy". For one, they never specified that it shouldn't have that stamp. Second, securing another is a lot of stress (we all know that. lol). And most importantly, I submitted my personal copy as well and it was fine. :D

The one with the "personal copy" will be just fine. I did the same thing and I didn't have any problem. Besides, whether or not it has that stamp, it still is an NBI Clearance and the instruction letter from the embassy never specified that it shouldn't have that stamp. If it was that material, they should have indicated that, right?

okay guys, thank you for your insights! just making sure because it would be a hassle already to secure another nbi clearance, traveling again for 3 hours going to the regional office of the nbi and then another 3 hours going back, and bearing the long queues at the the nbi office.
