Sent I -130 in february/march 2014 to California Service center

Greetings Everyone!

It has been a long time since we've all moved on to NVC. I am getting the Visa Bulletins every month and I am excited to see that they are on Sep 2013! What I am sad about is that the document from NVC saying "Unfortunately, visa numbers are not presently available for you to use." never came to us here in the U.S. Just yesterday, the beneficiary called to say they got it the letter, dated JULY 2014! It took 8 months for that letter to reach them!! I'm terrified that the AOS Invoice will be sent there and we will not know it is time to pay. I am in the process of trying to chose myself as the agent, however, every time I call NVC it tells me to try my call later and hangs up. I guess I'm calling at an Uber busy time of day. I have tried to do it online, but i do not have the Invoice ID number to do so. I know I will eventually get through. I just wanted to vent with people who could understand my frustration!

What's your PD

Mine is March 11th 2014 and I've gotten welcome letter

Filled DS261

Paid AOS fees and IV fees

Filled DS260

You don't have to worry and wait for NVC to send you hard copy letter

Call NVC.. It's easier to reach them at exactly 12pm GMT+1..That's when they open for the day

When you call.. Ask for your case number and IIN numbers

You would then be able to log in ceac.state.gov with them

Don't forget to give them your email.. This would be used to reach you faster instead of relying on hardcopy mail

I received the welcome letter via email

If your PD is between February and March 2014. You should be able to further your application by now

Ahh...March 19th...you definitely should have access to ceac.state.gov to continue your application. Call to get your case number and IIN. Like I said.. Don't forget to give them your email. Best time to reach them is 12pm GMT +1.try get the equivalent conversion in your local time. Goodluck.

You were right! I got through today and got the IIN. The AOS fee is $120! I thought $70. Guess I've been out of the loop for a while. Glad I've at least gotten to this part. I was able to choose an agent as well. So hopefully the documents will come to us now.

Any word or approval? My lovely lady is here! What I did not know is that there is now a $160 (green card fee) Immigrant fee to be paid to USCIS.
