Is anyone having problems with Skype to Ukraine ?

Hello Everyone, I have been in daily communications with a lady in Ukraine. now since Wednesday, I can see my posts to her on Skype. And I have not received any replies from her. And I can see when she is online on Skype but video calls do not seem to go through.

I am wondering if the political crisis could have anything to do with this, like putin somehow blocking communications for his own agenda.

or are there widespread internet problems because of the current situation there. ?

My wife was on Skype bothe Saturday and Sunday for 4-5 hours like she does every weekend, no problems, except slow due to dial-up access in Ukraine.

There are a lot of other prblems over there, with certain web pages, the banks etc. but Skype seems OK>

We used Skype for about an hour and a half yesterday and didn't have any problem - her location is near Kyiv. Maybe depends on your better half's location?

Maybe she doesn't want to talk with you.?

My wife is online to Cherkasy, UA right now. We have had trouble with some breaks in internet service for her mother, but that's always been the case. So, not really in troubles do to current Russian tensions unless possibly if she is in Yalta, Simferopol, Feodosiya... on Crimea.

If she doesn't contact you via email explaining she cannot connect on skype, it may be you have experienced the Slavic dumping- Just disappers without a word.
