Hey guys-

Just a quick question..

Haven't received NOA2 yet.. but I just wanted to get an idea..

Fee wise once the process comes over to me (the petitioner) what fees as a Canadian I'm looking at from start to finish..

I know it is different for different countries.

I'm most curious about the medical.

Thanks.

Also wondering.. when it comes to the medical... how do you know which doctors you are allowed to go to?

Are there some for most major cities.. or I should expect a drive somewhere out of the way?

You guys have a ways to go yet waiting wise, but here is the review I wrote for my medical last month. There are 4 places you can go in Canada. One in Vancouver and one in Montreal, and two in the Toronto Area. They are listed in the pdf's on Montreals consulate website. Don't forget you need to factor in stuff not listed officially, like courier service to get documents signed, etc.. I would budget $1000 to get it all done in Canada.

EDIT - Just noticed you live close to each other. That should help cut down on costs but not as much as you think. Remember that once is all and done you need to get married and file all over again for adjustment of status and then two years after that for removal of conditions.

Medical at medisys was just under $300. Most panel physician s require this in cash.
