Red Flag? Got Married after meeting for the first time

Hello!

My husband and I started chatting last May 2013 and eventually got into a relationship in July. He went to the Philippines and met me in October and we got married November. I've read it is a red flag for the visa filing. I just want to know if there are any couple/s here who had the same issue and got their visa approved. It would be nice to hear successful stories.

Thanks!

It's a small red flag, especially if he's a good deal older and you're younger, as there's quite a number of scams coming out of the Philippines recently with that MO, however while it will cause some additional scrutiny it's not one that would lead to an automatic denial.

Have much proof of legitimate relationship.

My husband and I did the same thing, but I have hope it won't hurt us. My family spent a great deal with my husband they all talk via skype/facebook. My father also became a ordained minister and married us. I am collecting proof as well for our interview (once we get a date that is). I wish you the best of luck!!!

I hope this goes well for you if it is a true relationship. I just did the same thing but in D.R and my husband stays in BVI but he is from D.R,, I hope there is no red flag or any stupid things that blocks us from being together soon . Wish you the best of luck!! I need advise with my situation as well>>>
