Husband getting deployed, no expedite!

Hello everyone,

my husband is gettin deployed SOON. For security reasons I can't tell when but it will be before the end of the mont.

On February 17th, we filed an expedite request, we never received an asnwer. Not an e-mail, not a sign. Nothing. Being the deployment so close, we decided to call USCIS again the 25th and two days later we received an email that said:

"Your case is currently being reviewed by an adjudicator and you should be receiving correspondence about your case shortly".

It has been 8 days and we haven't heard anything. Now my hope is fading away. I believe we won't be able to send the documents to NVC before he deploys.

Is there any way to do it with him not in the US? Should I have him send him his ffidavit of support and everything that goes with it and should I send it?

Any help/advice will be very helpful!

WE JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM USCIS: our case has been sent to NVC!

I would make sure to gather all the documents you need from him so that you can proceed to your interview without him. Also, make sure you have a copy of his orders when he gets it and he has a general POA for you to make things easier when he leaves and you arrive in the US. Goodluck. I survived a 12-month deployment, he got back 6 months ago. I even had my baby without him. Military wives are tough!

Yes we are been separated 6 months now, our son is 4 months

you can call the NVC and request an expedite there too. They will probably want deployment orders, but it can be done. I had to call the NVC a few times before they actually said they could expedite. I was able to expedite my wife's case after my return from a deployment.

I have been down that road they are not the best with military wives but they do come through it took several call, emails hair pulling moments make sure you have all your documents ready at hand including his orders all tas and income documents and supporting docs pics at hand have copies readily available. This site is of great help. Could not do it without them, I wish you all the support and blessings through this time my husband recently returned from a year long deployment.
