Hello everyone,

Me and my fiance are waiting the NOA2 and ready to plan for booking tickets. She is planing to visit me and we both get back to USA together. I am going to live in Minnesota so my point of entry will be Minneapolis.

My question is: IS IT POSSIBLE TO ENER USA FROM DIFFERENT POINT OF ENTRY, (to land in Atlanta then fly to Minnesota??)

This is due to that there are no direct flights from Dubai to Minneapolis, so either I have to make transfer in Europe or make this transfer in Atlanta. I know that they will take and open the packet and medical envelope in the point of entry.

I appreciate your responses

Many thanks in advance and good luck for everyone :)

OHH, God! do not book tickets. Abu Dhabi has been placing people in AP recently. DO not take this chance. wait until you have you FIINAL approved!

AP means administrative processing. Most MENA countries it is a must, however Abu Dhabi did not do this a lot until recently. It means they have extensive background checks to do. This can take 1 day to years. There is no set time, no way to get around it. It does suck but you should always be prepared for it esp in a Middle East country. Men in Pakistan go through mandatory AP. some have been there for years. I'm not trying to scare you, just be prepared for anything.

Our petition took about 45-50 days for the transfer. Check my timeline. Numbers are more accurate there.

Thank you. I will keep praying it will arrive fast to the US embassy in abu dhabi. Sorry for asking so much. But I have heard that they replaced all the forms in the embassy with one form only D'S 160. I still can't understand what is packet 3 and I. Would you please tell me how the embassy communicate with you? All the steps since embassy first contact with you? What are the papers they requested and how did you book for your interview appointment ? Or did they book it for you? Did they send you an email or by mail? Sorry again for asking so much and thanks a lot for being patient with me. God bless you :)
