Shootout at the Tax City Tax Service in Detroit

DETROIT – A man who authorities say shot three people at a Detroit tax-preparation business has been charged with attempted murder, weapons violations and other crimes.

The Wayne County prosecutor's office says 19-year-old Xzavier Mazyck was arraigned Monday. He is being held on a $250,000 bond, and his Mazyck's probable cause hearing is scheduled for March 14.

Prosecutors say Mazyck got into an argument Friday with a tax preparer because a woman accompanying him wasn't able to get a cash tax refund at Tax City Tax Service.

Prosecutors say Mazyck shot a security guard and two women inside the building and beat a tax preparer. Police said earlier that four people were shot.

I wonder if he just found out that the Obamacare tax/penalty consumed all or most of the refund his friend was expecting. My tax preparer showed me on paper what my penalty would have been if I my employer didn't provide insurance. I knew right then that this tax season would be very interesting for many Obama fans.

Care to explain why the IRS is in charge of enforcement of the Obamacare and how they will collect the tax/penalty from those who fail to get the mandated insurance? I was told any penalties for failing to get insurance will be deducted from any federal tax refunds the person expected or was entitled to.

All I read from your story is that the man was upset because the woman with him wasn't able to get a cash tax refund.

It's amazing how people can turn anything into a comment about Obama or "the Kenyan"... what a weird mindset to always be in.

I read a few topics down that the kenyan will be helping folks like this improve their lot in life and escape generational poverty. I am sorry he will miss out on that great program that the kenyan will dedicate his life to. This is such a waste.

Dude, you just showed your ignorance of the tax law. ACA penalties don't apply until you file your 2014 tax return. There are no ACA penalties on 2013 tax returns.
