I'm looking for one way tickets for next week : Manila to LAX. Cheapest I have seen is United Airlines. This route has Guam for the first stopover, then Honolulu and final destination of LAX. Now my question is which will be the POE? How long give and take does it take for my fiancee to get thru the POE?

I think PAL has a seat sale right now $600 thereabouts one-way nonstop to LAX.

Does Guam to Honolulu involve a change in airlines? If it does then Honolulu will be your POE. I think.

Your POE will be Guam as it is a territory of the USA. My wife in Dec took PAL from MNL to LAX and she said the flight was great. The LAX POE was good and fast. She got a new guy who was flustered and he just stamped everything and let her and the kids go right on through. I would allow at least a 3 hour layover for any POE.

Good luck.

Immigration will be Guam, customs will be Honolulu.

Guam from what I have read is not too busy normally.

Changing airlines doesn't matter for POE.
