The April 2014 bulletin is out!

F1 22FEB07 22FEB07 22FEB07 01NOV93 01NOV01

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin/2014/visa-bulletin-for-april-2014.html

Movement as expected but nonetheless, still disappointing. Hopefully next month we'll see movement at the upper end of their prediction; although I don't think we have many on the watch list for the next few months so it will be a guessing game.

Congrats everybody who receveid IL ! I paid the IV Fee Payment ( $230.00) and now I am submiting the Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration( for my son),by the paper version of the form because his case was initiated before October 4,2010.I am sending for him to sign it in Brazil and to send me back with his birth certificate, photographs, police certificates, photocopy of his passport biographic data page, etc. My question is I read he should go to the Police Federal Department WITH the request from Consulate General of the United States of America in Brazil and fill out their application for the certificate. So,he must wait for the consulate to send him this request? He does not have it yet.Other question is what are the petitioner ( me) documents?

Hi.. may i ask how long it took you to got the iimigrate processing fee bill/invoice? Thanks

the april bulletin is disappointing. F2B is catching up with F1, which makes me wonder what's the point moving to F1. Staying in F2B might end up to be faster in the next few months....

I agree with u KerrBit, I am too regretting now from F2b to F1.

But, Im in contact with someone here in India under F2b and NVC approached him last month to start his consular processing whereas he just gt current in this april VB (his pd is 20th Sep 06), his case is not even completed. I think F2b will stopped or might retrogressed soon. We have seen huge downfall in past, it just take a few words for NVC to justify their negative move by saying "Due to heavy demand ... blah blah happened and will remain the same for god knows till when ..." actually that situation is more dangerous and no one wants to experience it again and again ...

By d way, wats ur pd KerrBit??

I don't usually take much notice of F2b having always been in F1, so it's surprising to see that in the Philippines F2b is already ahead of F1 by over 18 months.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more "uproar" over this from the USC's...although from what I can see nowadays the media only seems to report on uproar from illegal immigrants.

Hi All,

I need some clarity here. My pd is June 2007 and my case was completed in about 2011. Since my pd is approaching, what other things should I submit now and in what sequence ?

What shall I do now, Shall I need to submit the DS-260 ?

Shall I take an appointment for finger prints and photos to be taken ?

Police clearance certificate, Medical ? Anything else needs to be done at this stage ?

I want to finish submitting all the docs ASAP, so that my Interview is done soon after the PD is current.

Thanks

You need to obtain only those documents which are subject to expire over a period of time i.e. generally 6 months time frame for almost every piece of document such as: police clearance from local police station, im nt sure abt passport clearance kindly check your checklist provided by NVC to you, your petitioner needs to file new tax returns now, they wont charge fees twice if u already paid, it doesnt seem that u did a medical in 2011, so it would be ur frst this time right before ur interview date.

Yes, do take ur recent photos by now. A human being's finger print can't be changed over the time in his whole lifetime, therefore if u already done with it then there's no need to go for second time.

Your DS-260 info remains the same, but some supporting documents gonna change which I have already mentioned above.

Thanks for the reply puru444...

Let me add some more info for better understanding

I am not sure if my Attorney had Submitted DS-260 online (or DS-230 form), But doesn't case complete means we have already submitted DS-260 / 230 ???

Fingerprints and Photos are taken at VAC (Visa appln center) before the Visa Interview, I want to know that Can I schedule an appointment now for Fingerprints & Photo with VAC or I have to do that only once I get the packet with the Interview Letter & Instructions ???

So now, What is the next step, my case is complete, waiting for PD, any other paperwork needs to be done now ???

Past FB1 applicants and current members with similar PD do Comment your experiences... Thnx

I just received the exam result.

Does anyone know how does this mean? looks like something is wrong. There is a "X" where says insufficient time interval.

And in results says:

Vaccine history imcomplete and applicant may be eligible for.......

Upon reading that I would suggest you've been given a wavier due to the reason 'insufficient time interval.' That is my guess. Others may know more...

Hi All,

I have a question and not sure if anyone can help.. I have submitted all my docs to NVC and I have received a checklist. Apparently they require a fingerprint check for the time i lived in Australia. (i'm Australian originally), I haven't needed one for the UK. Also, last time I went through this process (K2 visa and I aged out during AOS), I didn't need one.

I obviously will comply with the request, but it will delay everything by a couple months. Does anyone know if this is standard? I'm a bit ticked off at my lawyer that she didn't instruct me to do this in the first place months ago. Is this new? I'm beginning to lack confidence in her.. I know this may vary by country but thought it was worth asking.

Thanks,
Lauza8
