I'm currently a student and I'm not making that much I make 10,000 this year plus I have 10,000 in savings and I own my own car which is value at about 5,000 my sister (also a student) would combine income with me she and I live in the same house she makes about 7,500 a year would this be enough to sponsor my husband.? And if we both combine income would we go by the 2 household size or 3?

Add everything together that will give you your current annual household income. You can see your current annual household income in Part 6 question 10 in the form I-864 if you have already filled out. You can check the poverty guidelines to see if you meet the requirements. http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

I received email from USCIS- On December 27, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

I received second email from USCIS- On December 30, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing.

31 December 2013

I received third email from USCIS- The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office.

2 January 2014

Received Transfer Notice hard copy. Case was transfer to Texas Service Center.

7 February 2014

Received email and text msg that I-130 was Approved!

13 February 2014

Received NOA2 hardcopy.

24 February 2014

Received email and text msg that our case was shipped to NVC.

22 April 2014

Received DS-261/AOS Bill and submitted DS-261.

23 April 2014

Payed AOS Bill.

02 May 2014

Received IV Bill and Payed IV Bill.

07 May 2014

Send IV Package.

25 June 2014

Send AOS package.

24 October 2014

Case completed at NVC.

03 November 2014

Received interview letter.

23 December 2014

Interview Date, got green paper sheet (221-g) and was told to submit another Affidavit of Support.

31 March 2015

Turned in the documents they ask for at the interview and told us to wait 60 days for a response.

05 August 2015

Case updated in CEAC from READY to AP.

You would go by household of 3 if anyone has kids you need to add them in as well

July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

July 23, 2025:  Filed N-400 online

If neither you, your spouse or your children have children, the household size would be three. Your car will not count. Your savings would replace 3,333 in income shortfall. Your income combined of $17,500 + $3,333 = $20,833, falling $3,579 short of the 2013 minimum for a household of three. Time to get a better job or find a quailified joint sponsor. The sponsor outside your household would need enough income to cover their own household size plus your husband.
