HELLO ALL, I WILL BE FILLING THE I-130 FOR MY SPOUSE, BUT RECENTLY HAITI HAS CHANGE THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO A NEW MODEL, I WAS WONDERING WHEN SUBMITTING THE I-130 PETITION DO I HAVE TO SUBMIT THE BENEFICIARY AS WELL OR CAN I JUST SUBMIT MINE THE PETITIONER ALONE?

I just reread the I-130 instruction form and it doesn't technically require the beneficiary's birth certificate, but a lot of people seem to get RFEs asking for it. So I'd order the new one, and submit now with a copy of the old one. Just be prepared for possibly having to send in the new one. In the meantime, at least you're in line!

People were getting RFE's when I-130's were being adjudicated at local field offices. Local field offices no longer appear to be in the mix; however, the Texas Service Center is known for issuing RFE's. So it may be best to include a copy just in case your file ends up at TSC.

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
