So we received the notice from the NVC telling us that my fiancee's interview at the US Embassy is 28 April. Some of the other paperwork we are filling out says to submit the DS-160 and contact the embassy to set up an appointment for the interview. Is the NVC notice confirmation that my fiancee has an appointment for interview, or does she still need to fill out the DS-160 to have an interview appointment set up for her? I would hate to rely on the NVC notice only to find out in April that my fiancee had to confirm or otherwise request an interview date.

Many thanks!

Max

Usually, K-1ers have to make their own interview appointment with the USEM. I haven't heard of the NVC making an interview appointment for a K-1er at the USEM. Were you expedited or something?

Really? NVC doesn't schedule interviews for the K-1 visa. Even expediting NVC would not schedule the appointment with the K-1, heck for IR/CR-1 which NVC normally schedules the interview they are bypassing it and the applicant is scheduling their own.

Your fiancee needs to complete the DS-160 plus a variety of other documents are required.

I for sure would be contacting the embassy regarding "that" appointment I have serious doubts about it.

As others have mentioned, K1s set their own interview dates with the US embassy in Manila. I haven't read on anything yet from the USCIS & DOS websites that NVC does the scheduling of interviews now. Care to share the exact wording that the date "April 28" is referring to?
