Hi my fellow Visajourney members...my parents just had their interview and they were told that there is a document that needs to submit to them back. My mom's NBI clearance is showing the correct name which is Gloria Bordeos Chingco Caparanga.

I can see that the error was the CHINCO instead of CHINGCO. So I was trying to call the US embassy number that was stated in the letter but I can't get through the live person to help me clarify this question. Could you help me figure out what they need and what I have to do to get this done?

Thanks in advance and all your response are greatly appreciated.

here is the letter from the USEmbassy:

We are unable to complete the processing of your immigrant visa application under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), as amended, until you present the following documents or complete required action from your end:

NBI Clearance (with a.k.a.) for Gloria- "Gloria Bordeos CHINCO Caparanga"

Is "CHINCO" reflected on her birth certificate and/or marriage certificate? or on your birth certificate?

That's why they want the AKA, regardless of the correction.

You have to comply with the 221g ASAP. They will not issue the visa if your mom doesn't submit the new NBI.

Yes, that's what the embassy is asking for based on your first post.

No need to get a police clearance, just the green NBI.

The 221g has specific instructions on how to mail the NBI clearance to the embassy.

It has to be sent via 2GO courier (I think). Please read the letter.

USEM needs another NBI with AKA for the name they listed in the 221g. Request this from NBI, NBI well deliver it to the embassy and then all will be fine after final review.
