EAD status just changed to Card/Document Production! Still no movement on the AP, but with an interview in 3 weeks, I am sure it doesn't really matter in the long run! I thought EAD and AP were a single combo card tho? Seems odd that only one would update?

Thanks everyone, we arrived outside the Mt Laurel NJ USCIS Office at 1:30pm & sat there for a little bit, then we made our way into the building at about 1:50pm our appointment was at 2:15pm. we sat down near the door & just gone 2pm the IO called out our name, then showed us to his office, then swore us in asked for our ID & if we had the 2013 tax return which we didn't have as we hadn't filed yet. He then asked for other paperwork, which we handed him. He was going to make copies, but I beat him to the punch and handed him the copies I had already made. He was very nicer and we had a nice chat about the army life as I was in the service and my wife was an army brat. And before we knew it he was ordering the card and telling us how to remove conditions in 2 yrs. We were back in the car by 2:30pm and would have left, but my wife left her car keys in the office so she had to go back and get them. All in all a quick and pleasant experience.

We still can't believe its done. We received an email at 2:45pm saying that the card is in production. :dancing::thumbs:

I know it's only been a few days but I am so anxious over my SSN. I called the SSA to see if they had issued a number yet even though they hadn't mailed a card, but they told me I'd have to go in person to my local SSA with ID but even so, non-resident SSN applications can take up to 6 weeks because it's up to DHS and how long they take to respond/verify my identity.

I really doubt it'll take that long but my heart kind of dropped into my stomach when the operator said that because the guy at the office said it would take around 2 weeks max. So obviously I was given some incorrect information either way, hah. I just want to start applying for jobs and 90% require you give them your SSN in the initial application so I'm just a sitting duck still.

I know exactly how you feel. It doesn't help that the typo on my card could potentially complicate things for me. But I hope you get yours soon so that I'd be hopeful about mine! :)

EAD status just changed to Card/Document Production! Still no movement on the AP, but with an interview in 3 weeks, I am sure it doesn't really matter in the long run! I thought EAD and AP were a single combo card tho? Seems odd that only one would update?

Mine was approved on the same day but I only got an EAD card, not a combo card. Never got anything about my AP.

Congrats Brian :) Your AOS couldn't have gone more smoothly!

Thanks Terry, it seems like now, that no sooner the forms were in that we were at the interview & then we were on our way back home in the blink of an eye lol.

Now I just have to wait for my G/C then down to the DMV & get my Driving licence sorted :) & start looking for a job.

Congrats! Sounds like an awesome breezy interview! I hope ours goes the same way! Maybe I'll see you around the forums again when it comes time to apply for ROC! Enjoy your new freedom!
