Just found out my wife has ovarian cysts that will require surgery.

She's in the Philippines and I'm from the US.

Would her situation qualify for an expedition for her and her daughter (5years old)

Also, I don't meet the Income requirements but do have a wealthy cosponsor.

Just found out yesterday, any information would be extremely appreciated, thank you.

This is not an expedite, they'll want her having that surgery

at home , not at the US expense , even if you have insurance for

her ,which they can request you buy. In the US that's considered

minor surgery, she should take care of this asap an expedite has

maybe a 5% chance or less to be approved.

Ovarian cysts don't qualify as an extreme emergent situation, her life isn't in danger. Do you have health insurance for her? You need to have coverage for her as she cannot come and get medicaid, as per the i864 she cannot become a public charge, medicaid is public assistance.

I will be purchasing health insurance for her in the very near future, the cysts are causing considerable pain for her and they're recommending a historectomy, where I know from family experience there is a greater possibility of treatment here which would allow us to have children in the future. I'm only 30 and she's 26.

Send a letter explaining a detailed reasoning why you would like to have the procedure here rather than in her home country and how you are going to deal with the medical cost. Make sure it is detailed enough to make the reasoning clear.

Put your expedite request in. I did an expeidte during the I-130 process ( it was approved) I did the same for NVC and it was approved. My expedite was for my upcoming hernia surgery. Another friend of mine also did a expedite request and it was also approved do to medical. Do the request and it will be approved. If you call and it is denied put in another one, give it a week and it should be approved. I'm only saying what I experienced. smile.png Good Luck
