I have a question. I now have my 2 year green card.

I would very much like to have my sister visit me here in the USA.

She is 16 years old. My family does not own land or have any bank accounts. They are very poor and live on my grandfathers land.

I am aware for an adult to get a visitors visa to the USA they need to have a job. Own a house and have a bank account.

Since none of these apply to a minor. What are the qualification they judge on whether or not she would get a tourist visa?

What are the fees and how long is the process. Do I or my USC husband need to sponsor her in some way?

She applies, all on the Consulate website, can not sponsor a tourist.

Just my opinion, but it is highly unlikely, about 95%+ she will be denied a tourist visa because of the "tago ng tago" thing - I hope I got that right. And, like the above poster stated I don't think there is any way that a tourist can be sponsored for the purpose of getting a tourist visa.

Very unlikely she will get one, given the circumstances you described....why? because far too many people in similar economic conditions have sent their children to the US, ostensibly for tourism, but instead, they stay put with some relative, attend school at US taxpayers' expense, etc....in general, if the parents of a minor child could not qualify for a visa, neither will the children.

It is not a chance thingy, sounds like betting on the horses.

From the very little that has been said she does not sound an obvious candidate.

OP, did you have a Tourist Visa?
