I just want to know what will happen if they do pass it

I just want to know what will happen if they do pass it

In the current incarnation a path would be created for those here illegally to become permanent residents and eventually citizens... More money would be spent on boarder enforcement and visas for white collar jobs would be expanded basically without limit in lots of 25,000 once the yearly limit was met. There would theoretically be a shift that would make it easier for American companies to bring in cheap labor but more expensive for offshore companies to do the same.

I don't know if "here illegally" only applies to those with no status at all or also to those who are out of status. Hopefully someone else can answer that.

A vote does not seem imminent.. but if they somehow get it to a vote it has a good chance to pass... It gives both sides something they want, gives corporations something they want that will erode the middle class, costs more money for the government, and it will make an even bigger mess in the future since it will encourage the next round of people to come over the border. How can they vote no to that?

THERE IS NO IMMIGRATION REFORM!!!!!!

IMMIGRATIONS LAWS HAVE NOT CHANGED AND THEY WILL NOT.

BEING IN LEGAL STATUS FOR 10 YEARS DOES NOT MAKE A PERSON ELIGIBLE FOR A GREEN CARD. (No idea where you are getting this from.)

What does being "landlocked" have to do with immigration?

There is ZERO chances of immigration reform passing. The Republicans who control the House of Representatives will not allow immigration reform to reach the floor.

And no one can tell you what will happen because no one can tell you what future deals may be proposed.

I will tell you what will happen with immigration reform if you can tell me the temperature in New York City on November 1, 2014. It's impossible to answer; much like your question.

I know it wouldn't happen because I have followed US politics for 40 years, and I understand how the legislative process works. I read and learn, so that is how I know.

The House Republicans say immigration reform will not happen, so why would you think it will or even possible when there is a GIANT roadblock?

Since Congress will not take up immigration reform, why would you think it will happen? How would immigration reform work without Congress?

It could happen... it may happen.. it may not happen.. I think it will happen eventually but he is right - if/when it does occur is anyone's guess. There is a a bill on the table, we know the details, but there is no timetable for a vote.

Read a newspaper or search the internet for where House Republicans have said they will not let immigration reform come to the floor.

How does you wanting immigration reform relevant to it being on the table or not for Congress?

What does being landlocked have to do with anything? You do realize what "landlocked" means? Landlocked means to be enclosed by land. What does that have to do with your E2?
