Hello VJ Community,

I have read several older topics about the I-134 form which are helpful, but I would appreciate getting some newer responses and comments on the following situation:

1) Pay stubs: are pay stubs really necessary? The reason I ask is because I already have two letters from my employer (one stating my monthly income, permanent employment status and date hired and the other one stating my 2013 total gross and net income), letters/statements from my bank confirming my bank accounts with balance and date opened and a history of deposits in the accounts.

I also DO have all of my pay stubs from the last year, BUT this leads to my second question:

2) Official translation of supporting documents in foreign language(s): my pay stubs are in a foreign language because I work for a foreign organization, will I have to translate these with an official certified translator? This seems like a costly, unnecessary thing to do if I already have a good amount of documents confirming my income above 125% poverty level.

What do you all think? Should I waste money and time finding someone to translate some pay stubs or is it really not necessary?

12/17/2013 - E-mailed Consulate in Rio de Janeiro about status and steps

12/18/2013 - US Consulate in Rio de Janeiro sent out package to benificiary home

01/13/2014 - E-mailed Consulate in Rio de Janeiro again, because package never arrived. Answered immediately with a message stating that the package had been sent on 12/18/13.

02/11/2014 - Interview date!!! (Interview date was included in the Consulate e-mail together with links to documents beneficiary needs to bring)

End of Feb. 2014 - K1 visa arrives in the mail

End of July 2014 - Wedding in the U.S.

09/04/2014 - Adjustment of Status, EAD and AP applied

10/20/2014 - EAD and AP arrive

12/04/2014 - Notice of Action with Green Card Interview Date arrives

01/07/2015 - Green Card Interview Date (approximately 4 months after AOS application)

You live in the US and work for a foreign company, but your pay is drawn on a US bank, correct? The letters from employer and bank should suffice, but it could not hurt to include your most recent pay stub. Not required though. It is letter from employer and/or pay stubs as proof of current income.

It does not matter if the petitioner or beneficiary are the ones to translate.
