I130 Approved but wrong address on file

My husband called the USCIS today to correct the address they have on file and before he was able to ask anything he was told our petition was approved. Yay.

They didn't tell us whether they sent it to NVC but I'm worried that they did and that NVC will have the wrong address. So now who do we call to correct that? My husband said the guy he spoke with *said* that he did it but he had some kind of attitude so my husband isn't sure if he really did.

Also, do we wait for NVC to send us something or can we just send the requirements after we get a case number? And when do we get a case number?

You can update your petitioner's address once you're qualified to fill out the DS260.

Qualified for what? Oh you have much to read. Please go to the NVC filers thread andd read post #1 and #2.

Start calling NVC next week. Give them a week.

Now the address change is your husband still living there so he can get the NOA2 hardcopy notice? I would have him call back to USCIS to verify address change so you get that. Not a big deal but good to have.

Don't be alarmed when you hear it takes 8 weeks for your petition to get to NVC could be that could be less at least 2 weeks though but call starting next week.

I read through that thread yesterday. I'm still dizzy with all the info lol but I was the same way with the USCIS process and I guess it worked out so I shouldn't have a panic attack just yet. Is it 7 business days from when they said the case was sent out? I will be the one doing the calling (thank you, Magic Jack) because my husband hates having to talk to operators lol. So I just tell them to send updates to our email addresses?
