What is the best place to order birth certificates?

I was searching around online and most of the government sites redirect me to vitalchek.com as an "official source" for birth certificates. Is this site any good? And do they send out the long-form birth certificates? If not, any other sites that anyone else can recommend? Thanks.

In Minnesota you can go to any County courthouse and get it.

12/14/2006--- Mailed EAD App.

01/20/2007--- Biometrics

02/09/2005-------Sent in request to Congressional office for assistance with expediting EAD.

02/13/2007 -------- EAD Approved!

02/26/2007 - ------EAD received

Removal of Conditions:

05/12/2009 -- Overnighted application by USPS express mail (VSC).

05/14/2009 -- Green Card expired.

05/23/2009 --- Check cleared bank.

05/26/2009 -- Received NOA (NOA date May 15, 2009, guess they aren't deporting me).

05/29/2009- Biometrics Notice date

06/01/2009- Received Biometrics Letter

06/18/2009 - Biometrics

09/23/2009 - date of decision to approve (letter received), just waiting for card. No online updates whatsoever.

You mean the source like the Hospital of where you were born? I was born in NY City and I went to that Health Department, and when I clicked on birth certificates...they actually redirected me to vitalchek.com. Hmm, I guess I have no choice then but to purchase them there, heh. :whistle:

In NY I would go county health department, I have purchased them there before.

In China Your fiance will go th her local Notary Office.

A hospital (to my knowledge) doesn't issue birth certificates and is not the source of them. Most countries require births to be registered somewhere. The agency where your birth was registered is generally the source of the birth certificate.
