My interview schedule is on February 11, 2014 and i have booked a flight tomorrow for manila so I can start with medical exam at St. Luke's. I currently live in Davao city philippines and my husband is a USC living in Hawaii. I already have received my appointment letter from NVC and one of the reminders is

" BRING UPDATED FEDERAL INCOME TAX INFORMATION TO THE INTERVIEW. IF A SPONSOR FILED AN I-864(AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT) AND PROVIDED THE NVC WITH PROOF OF AN IRS FEDERAL INCOME TAX EXTENSION IN LIEU OF A FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN, BRING THE SPONSOR'S MOST RECENT INCOME TAX RETURN TO THE VISA INTERVIEW". my Question #1) Can I bring a scanned copy of this? or do I really need to send original?

#2) If Original documents are needed, Can I reschedule my interview Date to March even though I will take my Medical examination tomorrow so that means my medical exam is almost 2 months advance.? Please I really need an answer for this ASAP. THANK YOU!

what original documents were sent into NVC?

Knowing that answer, should help guide you a bit. If your timeline is accurate, then it looks like you not send any civil docs in, as you not file the DS-260 .

Well the I-864 has to be the originals, you can always order the tax transcript that of course can be scanned there's no signature otherwise f you se tax return it will have to be original because their is a signature.

I would caution against moving your date it wont be in march usually when you ask for later date its 45 to 60 days ahead you can't just pick March.

Did you not submit a Affidavit of Support at all?

CAN I STILL HAVE MY MEDICAL EXAM DONE TOMORROW EVEN IF I HAVE TO MOVE MY INTERVIEW SCHEDULE? MY HUSBAND IS COMING HERE THIS MARCH 1 AND BRING ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS.

You can do your medical anytime you want. Sure. But why postpone the interview why not just go and get it over with and it will just be approved waiting for you to give them the documents.

I have just seen too many issues with delays when there is no need. All you need is some papers you can still have an interview.

ok - so the Immigrant Visa Application is complete, though you might need a new police clearance report/NBI thingie.

Since the I-864 set was sent off on 2013-06-04 into NVC, IMO, the only new thing the IV Unit MIGHT Require is an updated proof of annual income for 2013- and this can be a scanned/emailed/reprinted thing.

His tax documents for 2012, sent in to NVC, are fine.

so - I say, don't delay, don't reschedule.

I am hoping your husband sent tax stuff and not tax extension. There's an IF word in that line, and it's never specific to a case.

So, ask your husband if he sent TAX STUFF with the I-864 or an IRS Tax Extension.

If he sent TAX stuff, you not need anything, as NVC sent everything on to Manila IV already.

That's it, that's all.
