Administrative Processing (AP) in Manila can last for days or weeks...or longer. In your friend's case, I'm thinking the AP shouldn't last more than a couple of weeks because the income issue is fairly straightforward. In the meantime, your friend might want to email the Embassy's immigration unit and ask them if the documents submitted were sufficient.

We had a 221g and went and cleared everything up with NBI and was resubmitted to USEM and with in 10 days we had our visa's in hand. For your situation, and situations of others will depending on your own factors and may be different for each case. So, it's hard to say for your case. I would wait another 10 days before I began to worry.

You should be on the phone with USEM to determine the problem. If you feel you are not getting anywhere then have your fiancée call his representative for his state and file an inquiry. Usually this gets the log jam broken up and the paperwork moving.

Good luck to all.

We knew the files were being sent on that Friday after her interview with NBI to USEM and so Tuesday we began to look on CEAC and our status began to change from day to day till the visa was released at the end of that week.
