Hi Everyone,

I just checked at USCIS website and my fiance alien registration number was changed on January,2nd 2013 (which he just send it on December 21st and delivered at Texas Lockbox on December 23rd). I was surprised and we are so happy that the process goes along quite fast. But just my curiosity, is this normal? or there might be something that we missed?

Any opinion will help! Thanks! :)

Hi Disya,

It is normal. Some people got approved after their alien registration number was changed. But some others did not. I've got approved about 2 weeks after mine was changed. Hope your approval will be soon. Good luck!

You're welcome, Disya.

Yes, for petition stage, background check of petitioner by USCIS is main thing. Also, other thing makes faster that your I-129F package is completed and they don't need to send an RFE. Beside, CSC is being famous for fastest approvals on VJ so far compared to another service centers even though they also well known for being slow sent the approval petition to NVC.

Yes, my fiance and I did that. We sent each other papers to double check everything. Both of us don't have complicated backgrounds, both of us are never married, and my fiance never got in trouble with laws.

That's helped our case a lot to get approved fast. Anyhow, keep us posted. I am happy to see when VJers case files are moving forward!dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif .

All beneficiaries will be given an A#. The A# will be found near the beneficiary's name on the NOA2 I-129F approval. You will need the NOA2 and A# later when it comes time for AOS after you are married.

Yes, do not lose it. Make copies of it when you receive it. You just need a copy to send in with your AOS paperwork. It will cost $405 to file the form to replace it if it is lost.
