One way ticket vs. Roundtrip

Hello Everyone,

I am in need of your thoughts/experience please.

My fiancé and I will arrive together to POE in early March. In looking at the price of plane tickets. It will cost $600-$800 more for a one way ticket for him then for a round trip ticket which is outrageous! So I am considering booking a round trip ticket for him with his return to the UK in August as he should have his travel card by then (we are applying for AoS mid-March) and will return to the UK for a week long visit with his kids.

If I proceed with this plan, will it cause any suspicion or issue for us at POE? If there is any chance at all that it will, I will suck it up and pay the insanely priced one way ticket.

If he's entering on a K-1 he can come on whatever flight he wishes, one-way or round-trip; most people just go with whichever is cheapest.

Hi!

When I came to the US to get married over here I also bought the return ticket because it was $1000 cheaper than the one way... I never went back, just "missed my flight".

No one ever questioned it...

Buy what is cheaper. If you get round trip, then just cancel the return ticket. People have had problems in the past when the airlines messed up and did not change the manifest and it seemed as though the person left the US with the return flight. It is just an extra precautionary step to take.
