I-134 question

Hey guys, quick question for you all.

The I-134, I understand I'll fill one out as will my co-sponsor. How many years of tax returns do we need to send? I think it is just the current year when the embassy asks, but if not I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row and order/track down what I need.

3 years, or 1 year?

Typcially its just the most recent year, but you need to check with what your embassy requires.

You only need what it asks for on the form, one year. Also, there are other requirements

it asks for. I was in Manila at the end of October and all they wanted was the tax form,

but I had all the other information with me just in case they asked. Every case and every

embassy handles this a little differently. Depends on the petitioners financial status.

You will need three years for the AOS I-485 - I864 after you get marrier.

Submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources,

as appropriate:

Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial

institutions with deposits

1.

Date account opened;

2.

Total amount deposited for the past year; and

3.

Present balance.

B.

Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery

showing:

1.

Date and nature of employment;

2.

Salary paid; and

3.

Whether the position is temporary or permanent.

. If self-employed:

Copy of last income tax return filed; or

2.

Report of commercial rating concern

My co-sponsor's HR dept. has said they can't give any employment letter, it is a trucking company and they said they typically deal with phone verification of employment. I was figuring on sending some pay stubs since almost everyone on here says an employment letter isn't needed that often.

The embassy website will tell you what forms and requirements to provide. Every

embassy is a little different.

I'm gonna go over to MENA and search around there and see if anyone has posted similar. UAE is just a hard country to find info. about, I guess not many interview there and post about it.

In that case if it was me, I would ask your sponsor to order the 2012 tax transcript and include that. Just so you have good solid evidence.

Just put in an IRS transcript order to be safe for 2012, and I'll keep a copy of their 2013 filing as well....I'll probably have to include 2014 at the rate the processing times are moving, though
