Hey,

I entered the States on an O1 visa, which will expire March 15 2014. I got married and am in an AOS procedure now, and I was wondering: are you allowed to work on your O1 visa in the time between filing for AOS and receiving EAD?

Hey,

I entered the States on an O1 visa, which will expire March 15 2014. I got married and am in an AOS procedure now, and I was wondering: are you allowed to work on your O1 visa in the time between filing for AOS and receiving EAD?

It all comes down to whether you can complete the I-9 form. You need either a single List A document or a List B AND List C document to prove you are eligible to work. You do not have a US passport, a Green Card (GC) or employment authorization (EAD). So you need to see if you have any of the List B AND List C documents. My guess it that since you are waiting for the EAD you are not currently authorized to work, but that is just a guess.

You can continue to work on your O visa whilst your AoS is in-process.
