HELP!!! DIFFICULTIES FILLING THE DS160 FORM

Hello V'jers, My fiance received a letter from the NVC asking me (beneficiary) to fill the DS160 form online while I wait for the Consulate here in Ghana to schedule my interview. I would like to know:

1. whether I would still be scheduled for the interview if I don't fill the form online asap. In other words if delaying in filling the forms would cause a delay in the Ghana Consulate scheduling my interview.

2. The slot that asks for the salary if employed to be stated is not accepting the figure I put there. It keep telling me it accepts figures between 0-9 and since it states it should be in the local currency. I can't find my way around it.

You have to do the DS-160 before the interview. I don't know if you can schedule the interview before filing out the form, but it only takes a few minutes to complete if you have all the information.

You only have to put the numerical value of the salary in the salary slot. Dont put $ or € or anything else, just the number. They will know what the denomination is.

I scheduled the interview before file the DS-160 for my Fiancee and I had no problems....

Embassies can have different processes. JessJoe did not go through the Embassy in Ghana. Follow the NVC instructions.
