After 8 weeks of waiting for the Dallas USCIS to send it to the NVC, and I just phoned today (Boxing day) and I just received my case number! They said it arrived today and they were working on it right now and that I should start calling London after new years (He said Friday) I'm so damn happy and it made my Christmas!!

That isn't really how it works with London. Each consulate is different. London is pretty impossible to call, but they will send a letter to the beneficiary when they are ready for you to proceed. Your London instructions are on their website. http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

Don't use a phone browser or you will miss things because it defaults to mobile version. And don't miss the right column Which says

The online nonimmigrant visa application DS-160 replaces the forms DS-230 Part I & II,Form DS-156,Form DS-157 and DS-156-K.

The document checklist Form DS-2001 is no longer in use. Please download this list of required documents. Once you are in possession of all of the documents required in support of your visa application, you are required to notify the Immigrant Visa Unit by email. Read more.....
