NVC Letter Interview Location

Hi Guys,

I received a letter from the NVC stating my case number and that the application has been forwarded to the embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It also mentions that the interview location will be Riyadh Embassy. Now th problem is that I live in Jeddah and on my I-129F I clearly stated that I'd prefer to have my interview at Jeddah US Consulate. Also, I have to start filling out the DS-160 online application and the first thing I need to select is the location where I'd like to apply for the visa. Is it ok if I select Jeddah as the location even though nvc mentioned Riyadh as the interview location?

Also when one selects the interview date, is he/she allowed to select an interview location based on their preference?

The U.S. Consulate General in Jeddah provides Non-Immigrant Visa services to Saudi citizens

The The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh provides immigrant visa services to anyone residing in Saudi Arabia

K1 visa is considered an immigrant visa, which is why it was sent to Riyadh.
