I134 and DS130 QUESTION! UPCOMING INTERVIEW

Hello Everyone,

Reading the i134 instructions literally and thoroughly it says to include duplicate income and evidence, as appropriate.....We will put 0 in for assets or savings since nothing amounts to acceptable assets. I was wondering if anybody used a bank letter to support proof of current income rather than assets. I do not have a significant amount of money in the bank that would add up to any amount of acceptable assets, but I wanted to get a bank letter that states how much I've deposited from paychecks in my account for the past year. Would that be useful at the interview if the bank letter doesn't show where the deposits came from?

ALSO

ON the DS130 it asks for trips to the US...do we put POE or the town I live in my fiancée came to visit and spend most of the time at?

Thank You everyone for your replies. Our interview is coming soon so we are just getting the most info we can! Good Luck :)

- if your fiance meets 125% of the poverty guideline, then there is no need for this. however, it doesn't hurt to add it too. we gave a copy of my fiance's savings during the interview. they looked at it, but didn't keep it.

ALSO

ON the DS130 it asks for trips to the US...do we put POE or the town I live in my fiancée came to visit and spend most of the time at?

- you mean the DS-160? I don't recall it asking for where you stayed, just the date of arrival and length of stay

Good luck with your interview!

Ugh! I meant DS230 in the second question.(and on the TOPIC!)

Also, does my fiancée sign any part of the ds230 before the interview? or sign part 1 before interview then the rest of it at interview?

Put the location of where she stayed. Use your address if that is where she stayed when she visited.

She only needs to fill and sign part 1 of the DS-230. Part 2 is not used for a K-1. http://brazil.usembassy.gov/interview/forms-for-fiancee-visas.html

I dont see anything about that on the interview instructions:

http://brazil.usembassy.gov/order-docs-interview-fiancee-page.html

that was probably for the old documents like DS156 etc. which was already replaced by the DS160
