Hi VJ pple, i need your good answer to my questions.. My girlfriend is black america and i am from Nigeria but living and working in Dubai UAE, only know each other for 2years now .. My question is which place is easy for us to get married Nigeria or Dubai? beside, i will like to apply for fiance visa after the marriage.

You won't be able to apply for a fiance visa AFTER marriage. You'll be needing a spouse visa

You can start a fiancee road now before marriage and then get marriage in USA or get married in Nigeria or Dubai and then start CR1 process - if you want to move to her.

make more research about these two kinds of visas , Read more forum.. and then decide what is the best for you guys

Speaking from experience, STAY IN THE UAE! much better chances of an approval. Also, you cannot file for a K-1 after you are married. Automatic Denial. lastly, you two need to have met in the last two years prior to filing.

Sorry buddy it is not what we think you can do. It is what you and your girlfriend think is the best route for both of you. Each routes have advantages and disavantages.

We can tell you what we know about each routes but we are not going to tell you what to do. Each countries are different and each of our cases are similar and yet also different.

my thoughts to you is to talk with other Nigerians espcially those that filed outside of Nigeria, Talk with them about what path they took and if it turned out to be the best route or not. Nigeria consulate is tough customer and it is a must to do research to make your case more postive. If anything, if you are allow to file in UAE- probably better to do it.

What I know is that it does help to have your girlfriend with you in UAE. It make it more solid about your relationship truly real. Be sure to leave Strong paper trail so it make it easy for the consulate to believe that your relationship is real.

I wish you a good luck and enjoy getting some sun in UAE while where I am is a snow storm outside and 10 degrees.

In my opinion and to answer your question. You should marry in Nigeria. Why? Because no matter which consulate you're interview is held at, you're still scrutinized more because of your nationality. It looks better if your marriage has taken place around your family. It appears bonafide. Pics of your future wife with your family, shows they approve of the marriage. Also u mentioned wanting to file a fiancé visa after marriage. I can.only assume that you meant a K3. In that case you would file,the I-130 first, receive your NOA1. Then mail in your I-129(K3) with the,CR1's NOA1. Hope this helps.
