Can I bring package from US to Philippines?

Sorry, friends. Not visa or petition related but to those who have tried this before, can I bring package from US to Philippines on our vacation? We planned to travel back to Philippines next year and I have a balikbayan box full of goodies for my family in the Philippines but I don't want to ship them for now because I've heard so many failures in delivery particularly in our province in Negros. So I think maybe it's safer to just check in it at the airport on our flight date. But is it possible?

Answers and ideas are pretty much appreciated. God bless us all. :)

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

Many people returning home to visit relatives bring big boxes of goodies with them as luggage on airplanes.

When I go to Vietnam, I bring a suitcase with my stuff and a 50 lbs. box of goodies for my relatives.

As long as you are not packing anything prohibited, then you are fine.

Best practice. Write your name on the outside of the box with the address and phone number to reach you in the PI. If your box gets lost, the airline will have the information to contact you right away.

You can do that :) just make sure that you don't go beyond the weight limit (depending on your airline). Excess baggage is more expensive to pay so just be mindful. :)

Philippines is used to people bringing gifts (pasolobong) back to friends & family.... I once brought a bunch of whale baleen (carved of course so it was perfectly legal), and it brought only quizzical looks from Philippines customs as they waved me through...

I would check customs regulations if you're not sure:
