Did you do what I told you when you first ask? You have to move fast its all about availability and slots fill fast. All you can do is email your embassy and ask. Your petition should have arrived by now so they should have it.

Until your casefile arrives at embassy they won't deal with the matter. All you can do is follow your petition when it leaves NVC. Keep calling to find out when it leaves.

With the small window of time it will be hard to change the date. But not impossible.

have you already got your medical scheduled. i mean if you get an earlier date you need to be ready. I know of someone I can't remember the embassy but it was changed to 1 week (yes he had a week to get ready and wasn't even prepared), they hadn't even schedule medical so guess what they had to keep original date.

They (NVC) will not give you a tracking number. If it truly has left NVC (ony way to know is to call them and ask) than go to the first post I have there how to track a package. Takes about 2 to 4 days.

Well since the embassy doesn't know who you are maybe they won't answer. Just follow the package. if you need help tracking go to the thread that tracks its all in the post#1.

You have to give the case about 2-5 business days to arrive at the embassy, so once the NVC tells you that they have sent it, the countdown begins. If you contact the embassy before it arrives, they will just discard your email because they have no idea what you are talking about since they don't have your case yet.

All you have to do is email them with the date you need. What I am confused about is why you need to change your appointment date since they haven't given you one yet?

No to what? That they don't have petition or no to an earlier date?

.

It's not how you word it since this isn't an expedite and you need good reason. I sure wouldn't be mentioning about work and no babysitter. We are talking why you want to move your immigration appointment.

Like when was the last time daddy saw his baby how you need to get to US now hopefully before the holidays .

But again have you even called NVC to ask "has my casefile been sent out to embassy? If so what was the date?"

You track it and than you will know when it arrives than you can approach the embassy.

If you already have an appointment date then call the NVC, daily if you have to, to find out the date they sent the case to the US embassy in Bogotá. It surprises me that they haven't sent it yet because they usually ship it as soon as they make the appointment with the embassy. But anyway, once you get a shipping date from the NVC, give the case 2-3 business days to arrive. THEN, contact the embassy asking them if they have your case and if they do ask them for a new interview date or call them directly.

I have never heard of them denying a new interview date, they usually change it as per the beneficiary's request and when they do, it's usually for a month or two later.
