evidence of a bonafide marriage

Hi

I'm on OPT and my fiancé is a citizen. We're getting married on NYE and started looking into paperwork. We have been together for over 2 years and have many evidences for legitimacy of our relationship (pics, texts, e-mails, etc.), but we don't own any properties together or don't have children yet. What can I submit as evidence of a bonafide marriage?

Thank you.

It is a good idea to begin the process of co-mingling your financial affairs - combine your bank accounts (add each other as joint owners/beneficiaries), add each other as authorized users on credit cards or open a new credit card 'together', add each other as beneficiaries on life insurance, add to health insurance, add to car insurance... It is much more complicated, but if you or your finance own property, attempt to add one another to the deed (house) or title (car). Govt-issued ID showing the same address, lease agreement in both names, etc.

Photos and texts etc aren't as important as showing co-mingling assets and financial matters. This post has some great information: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/220440-i-751-evidence/

Look at the list of suggestions on the I-130 and pick some. You do not need to have everything on the list. You show what you have. That's all you can do.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Timeline

after you marry, and before you file the big AOS set,

get joint accounts !!!

get a joint lease !!!

you need to refactor your life anyway, after marriage, so keep a detailed record (this time).

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
