I have a question about the interview/instructions letter. It says that my wife (beneficiary) should bring Financial Evidence and that this form is incomplete. Not sure what that means, I filled the I-864 EZ out and sent all the Tax transcripts, so I am puzzled as to what this means. Any ideas?????

and one, what is meant by civil documents, beside marriage and birth certificate???

Look at your interview checklist carefully what letter code is next to the items. many think they have to bring everything.

I personally would send your wife the entire affidavit of support package.

Did you get a checklist from NVC about your AOS but they went ahead and case complete you? Were you close to the poverty guidelines and maybe need a co-sponsor?

this is what it says:

Financial evidence - code I :This form is incomplete. You must present a completed form at your interview.

I did get a checklist, but because I left address field blank, and I mailed it back to them, and I am above poverty level don't need co sponsor. That is why I am confused. Should I send my wife tax transcripts or W-2?

Thank god getting close to the process.

Have one question if someone can help. My wifes beneficiary ID is different in the Interview letter from what we got the first time file moved to NVC. Is this normal? do they change beneficiary ID during the process?

Thanks and good luck to all my brothers and sisters.

has this happened to anyone, to receive a checklist after the interview date was set. I got a checklist for Financial evidence, and when I asked them about it, they said that I have to fill out I-864ez again and send it to my wife so that she could bring it to the interview. Is this something common for the beneficiary to bring some or all AOS doc's to the interview??????

I thought you said you got a checklist but they had case completed you but told you to bring updated I-864 to interview. What does your checklist on your P4 letter say? What letter is by it?

And yes I have seen checklist after case complete and interview set.

OK, First I got a P4 letter, and in that letter it tells you what documents to bring. One thing that I didn't understand was where it said financial evidence, etc. That's when I posted a question here if anybody knows what that could be. Yesterday I got a checklist from NVC saying that I have to fill out again I-864ez, and that the name on w-2 doesn't match the name of the sponsor ( which is weird because my name is the same and I know what I sent).

So, I called NVC to ask them what is going on, the operator told me that I have to fill out the I-864ez and send it to my wife so that she could bring it with her during her interview.

I jut wanted to know if this is something common for the beneficiaries to bring petitioner's AOS (or any other) documents after the approval/review at NVC???

Yes it happens all the time. Let me ask did you meet the guidelines but it was shaky and they said the CO would make final decision?

Remember NC approves nothing all they are is a document intake facility. They review and accept. Its the CO that has final and only approval authority.

I would just make sure your wife has the AOS original copies in her hands on interview date. Just in case.

Based on my research I did meet the guideline, if you look at the poverty level in Illinois, it's less than $14K, so I gotta make little bit less than $30K, and I do. I don't know what you mean by shaky, but nobody told me that the CO or anybody else would make a final decision. When I called NVC to inquire about my case the operator told me that it's been reviewed, and all they need to do is set up an interview date, which they did few days later. That is all what they told me, and when I called NVC yesterday to inquire about this checklist, the operator told me just send my wife I-864EZ form filled out and signed, nothing else, no W2 or tax transcripts.

Okay well sorry you didn't know that CO has final authority. Many get surprised at interview that CO rejects their AOS and says they need a co-sponsor. It really is embassy specific.

Like my embassy last year and current must be above guidelines. Thats not everybody. And also the 125% guideline for Illinois and everywhere else (but Alaska and Hawaii) is $19334 for 2 people not $14000.

But like I said on your checklist for p4 it tells you what you have to bring its very individualized for each person. If the operator says bring a new I-864ez than do.

But you said you spoke to operator which know nothing . I really would speak to a supervisor so you are clear what is going on so there's no delays at interview.

where did you find that the poverty line for 2 people in Illinois and elsewhere %19334.00? Because I went to US Dept of Health and Human services (http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/13poverty.cfm) and it clearly states the poverty levels for all states except Alaska & Hawaii, which is %15510.00.
