Just stopping in to say congratulations to everyone who is finally out of AP and headed to their families.May each of you have a blessed and happy and fulfilled life!

Prayers are always with those stuck in AP and not knowing anything. Please also pray for us, we are struggling with some medical issues with my daughter again, nothing as severe as before but we are praying the testing they are doing now will reveal how serious the brain tumor is with her development and hopefully we can get some help for her once we get these answers.

We have been in this process for over 3.5 years and just want to finish this so we can be together and share the worries as a mother and father would for any child.

May Allah Bless each of you today and always... stay strong and stay faithful and be happy always...

No updates on CEAC website on its own after 24 January. I contacted Congressman to inquire about case and embassy replied to them with standard AP response. So it updated on Feb 13 due to congressman email. My hubby's medical expires on the 20th of February but they did not ask for it in the email. Any ideas why??

My opinion is that when the embassy is ready to issue a visa is when they request fresh documents. I know how frustrating is this wait. I hope soon you can be with your husband.

No actually thats not true...as so many of us have submitted our docs not even once but twice, and still in AP.

When i asked DOS why, they said embassy wants to work on a case only if it is updated from applicant, and they dont wanna work on a case if its docs r expiring

This is what i was told by them.

I am finding that now the embassy will issue the visa with only a month left before the medical expires. That's what they did to my husband. We were blessed in that his father had the money for his ticket. My advice is that while waiting have the money ready for your partner to fly on short notice.

Carolyn- I have a question for you. My fiance medical expires on the first week of April. He has had no update since November, but NVC keeps telling me they should issue it. What would you suggest to do? NVC said they contacted the embassy and got the standard reply. Is there a government official or department to contact you think?
