On October 22, 2013 NOA2 was sent. November 8th the status on the uscis site changed to "shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing."

So tonight I called the NVC expecting to hear the usual about waiting 8 weeks and to my surprise they confirmed they received the petition and gave me a case number. SO HAPPY!

So now that I have a case number and the status on CEAC says "at NVC", about how long will it to take before it is sent to Vietnam and my fiancee receives her packet 3?

So excited! dancin5hr.gif

Thanks for this information! Hope it will be in transit to HCM City Vietnam in the next few days.

We are hoping for an interview before the Tet holiday. :)

Did you get your interview date after sending the Packet 3? Seems like it may take a few months after they receive it.

I'm also interested in the Police Certificate #2 process. Does it take long to get and do I need packet 4 first?

THANKS!

Many of us are still waiting for interview date and it is already more than 2 and 1/2 month. I just want to let you know that your fiancee might get interview around Feb-March 2014. I think my fiancee will interview around Jan. 2014 which is ridiculous. You dont need packgage 4 to order Justice Record # 2. I recommend to order it after receiving package 3.. It could take up to 2 months to have it. My fiancee has a friend who works in Department of Justice so It took us 7 days. I heard if you give them money, it would take 3 days maximum lol.

Wow. I guess they are very backed-up at the consulate right now. Did you get an actual January date or are you estimating?

I will make sure we try to get justice record #2 as soon as we receive packet #3.

I read somewhere that the beneficiary needs evidence of never being married. Is this true or is it in the police report?

Last questions: Do you need to make a relationship timeline for the interview? Should it be notorized?

What about a new "letter of intent" after the NOA2?

THANKS

I estimated the time for her interview but I still hope she will interview in December.

The record of single ( never been married ) is different paper and this one is easy to get because you can get it in the same day.

You know the NOA2 has an expiration date on it . I heard London Embassy needs a new letter of intent if your interview date is beyond the expiration date on NOA2. I did write a new one for my fiancee if Embassy will require.

I did not have a timeline relationship because Embassy has the copy of it. You dont need to notarize timeline .
